Groat Render
09/08/04
Character Type: NPC Townsman

Groat is a spectacular failure.  He is living proof that a man can get by with very little.  Groat was once a miner, but after a small windfall early in his life, he discovered the joys of drink.  Since then, he has excelled at only one thing… finding enough money for his next round.  He can be found at the Last Retreat most any day working on this goal.  He does occasional odd jobs to make money, but has no shame at pandering and wheedling.  His preference, however, is earning brew by picking up bits and pieces of information that pass through bars.  Usually such a trade will not only get him a gold or two, but a round on the buyer as he slowly recalls whatever tidbit is being bought.  Groat is, by his own account, a happy man.
